Today was filled with lots of activities. Although, we did make a slow start to the day. We woke up early enough but lazed around long enough to miss the dining room breakfast service (much to Sue’s dismay) and ended up going to the Horizon Court buffet.

Our first morning activity was Brainbuster Trivia. We were joined four other people to make a group of six. The prizes were: first place - shot glasses and second place - Princess Cruises lanyards. We were hoping to come in second place. :-)  Between all six of us we managed to get 15 out of 21 and believe it or not, we came in first place tied with two other groups. We got to choose our prize and we got our precious lanyards. :-)

Next on the list was the lecture part four of “The Only Way to Cross”. As always, the lecturer kept our attention to the very end. He talked about the demise of the North Atlantic ocean liners and at the end led into his next topic which is based on the sequel book “Liners to the Sun”.

Lunch was next, but as we wanted to go to the Charades at 12:30pm, we went for a quick lunch in the Crown Grill which was featuring pub lunches again. I loved the cottage pie last time and so I had the same again. This time Mike went for the fish and chips which he thought were good.

It was so much fun playing charades - we were in a group of eight of which four people we already had met at a previous dinner. Each of us got up twice to act out either a movie, song or book. We called our group “The Aussies” and we actually won the game. There were no prizes given (awwww), but we are still looking forward to our next chance to play the game again.

Right after that we got ready to waltz with our dance instructor, Romeo. It looks like such an easy dance to do with the box step being the main move, but he had us do some extra steps in the part he taught us and it wasn’t so easy after all. We practiced a lot, though, and we were finally able to do it competently. We are looking forward to our next class where we will learn the salsa.

Next, we lay on deckchairs and read our books - very relaxing, but also puts us to sleep and so we decided to go and have a nap in our cabin.

Supper tonight was delicious as usual. Sue had the lamb and Mike went with the prime rib. There were a few desserts that looked yummy and so Sue had two: lemon and lime souffle and bread pudding. Mike stuck with the strawberry cheesecake.

After supper, we had a little down time in our room and then headed up for the nightly show. Tonight’s fare was the singing of Bobby Brooks Hamilton. He sang songs of the Motown era including some of his dad’s songs - his dad was Jackie Wilson. We really enjoyed the show - he is a really good entertainer and gets the audience involved which makes it more fun.

Our last activity for the day was to watch the game show ‘Jeopardized Trivia’. We were too late to join a group as they had already started to play when we got there. So, we just watched and answered the questions ourselves. We did not too bad on the Television and Broadway musicals, but were not too hot on the Olympic history or Flag categories.
